Re-opening of Wedmore Surgery

Following the temporary closure of Wedmore Surgery for a period of internal alterations, with support from the Wedmore and Axbridge Health Fund for which we are hugely grateful , we are pleased to announce Wedmore surgery re-opening on Monday, 18th May 2026.

Along with the Axbridge surgery, the Practice and our Primary Care Network team, serving the local and neighbourhood communities, we will be utilising the newly created consulting rooms. This enables greater capacity and flexibility, and will help future-proof the practice by working at both sites. 

We anticipate, along with the growing population and increasing staff over time, including medical students, training doctors and other clinical and support staff in training, the additional sites capacity provided will be invaluable, and help the Practice maintain their profile as a local leader in healthcare delivery.

Our opening times are unchanged

Axbridge is open Monday – Friday 8.00 – 6.30pm

Wedmore is open Mondays 8.30 – 6.00 pm; Tues – Friday 8.30 – 1.00pm
